With this simplicity in mind which electricity company is going to be the first one to put a car on the electricity bill?
That's how the electricity companies helped introduce the early appliances into the home.
A series of opinion pieces on, mostly climate change and related subjects to do with New Zealand.
The major difference between petrol cars and an electric one is that the electric cars do not have nearly as many moving parts and do not need so much maintenance. No gear box, no pistons and sump, not even so much use of the brakes. It is more like a fridge or TV and can be delivered to your home for instant use without involving a dealer. Yes New Zealand is rural - Thank God, that's why it is great to live in the land of the Long White Cloud, instead of somewhere near the Tar Sands of Alberta in Canada, or smog ridden Beijing.

Hello Bob. You are so well informed on NZ. I managed to get some good posts on the articles you highlighted. One advantage of NZ is that because it has such a small population talking to MP's is relatively easy. I have just been talking to two (Greens) this afternoon who were driving Tesla cars.

Electric cars are not having gear box, sump and piston, not even much use of brakes. However, it is more like a TV or fridge and can be delivered to home.
