This new temperature record shows how the World was cooling until we started farming about 4000 years ago and then started burning fossil fuels about 150 years ago.

As author [20 books]and concerned citizen I am putting this out:"Drought 2013 Wade Doak

“NORTH ISLAND DROUGHT MOST SEVERE
Drought gripping the North Island is the most severe in history, with the crisis far from over both for now and years to come, scientists say. Long, dry spells are forecast to double by 2040 as temperatures continue to rise and N.Z. heads towards a more Mediterranean climate.

Experts warn it could spell the end for farming as we know it and may cost the country billions of dollars in drought relief each year.” Source: Fairfax/ Teletext.

Human induced climate change is now accepted by the vast American N.O.A.A. organization. [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration]. Our own N.IW.A. weather experts tell N.Z. farmers to expect more frequent droughts. Marine scientists warn mussels and oysters are threatened by rising ocean acidity.

While there are those who insist the emperor is fully clad, or might be… I am left wondering: how hard do we have to be kicked in the rear before we at least adopt a precautionary approach and pursue all possible policies to reduce our impact on the global climate? Applying such a litmus test to each national decision, why would we choose to further exploit fossil fuels rather than put every effort into sustainable pathways?

AND POEM BELOW:
It’s
3:23
in
the
morning.....
"It's 3:23 in the morning and I'm awake because
my great-great-grandchildren won't let me sleep.
My great-great-grandchildren ask me in dreams "What did
you do while the planet was plundered? What did you do
when the Earth was unravelling?"

"Surely you did something when the seasons started failing,
as the mammals, reptiles, birds were all dying. Did you fill the
streets with protest when democracy was stolen? What did
you do once you knew?"

Thanks for that Wade. I've just spent a bit of time finding out what 400 ppm of CO2 means to the World. Not good.
